Olena Gapey is a highly accomplished Ukrainian-born musician with a rich musical background. She embarked on her musical journey at a young age, starting to play the piano when she was just 6 years old and adding the cello to her repertoire at the age of 7. Her passion and dedication to music led her to pursue formal education in the field.

Olena’s commitment to her craft led her to graduate from the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv. There, she honed her skills as a cello performer, mastering the intricacies of both chamber and symphony orchestra settings. Her comprehensive education equipped her not only as a talented musician but also as a skilled teacher.

With over two decades of experience as a musician, Olena Gapey has had the privilege of performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls across Europe, Africa, and Asia. Her talent has been showcased on various international stages, reflecting her expertise and artistry on both the piano and the cello. Notably, she recently had the honor of performing with the Symphony Orchestra of Gatineau and the Pembroke Symphony Orchestra, highlighting her recognition and respect within the musical community.

Olena’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians is evident through her pedagogical endeavors. Her dedication to teaching earned her recognition in 2022 when she was awarded the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) “Excellent Teacher” diploma. This accolade reflects her skill in imparting musical knowledge and inspiring her students to excel.
